Tiffany-Inspired Bridal Shower

In June of this year, we hosted a Tiffany-inspired bridal shower. Though only for forty guests, the shower was meant to have the large, bold feel one would expect of Tiffany's, and was therefore held in our Grand Ballroom.

As Alaina Ferriero, one of our Catering Sales Managers, explained, "One would think 40 guests would seem lost in such a large room but in reality, the shape of it, combined with creative catering expertise, you will find that it really can work for a group of 40 up to 180 and still feel like the perfect fit. That is what is so great about it."

Cheryl Ennis, one of our Senior Banquet team members, put together the beautiful buffet decor using items Alaina had provided, and the Chefs added their own little touches to make the food presentation "pop."

The Hawthorne's own Edi Rovi is an accomplished pianist and played for the first hour and a half of the event, adding that extra special touch to the day.

Commenting on the event itself, Alaina said, "The beautiful bride-to-be arrived shortly after her guests in a celebrity-like white dress which was tastefully embellished with feathers and glitz. Her look so perfectly matched what Cheryl had put together on the buffet it was unreal!"

The bride-to-be, Marisa Casaletto, wanted an upscale tea brunch with a satisfying menu. Alaina custom-designed the menu to include hot and cold teas, brunch-style hors d'oeuvres, and a brunch buffet.

A Wedding "In the Pink"

This week we learned of a lovely review on the website, The Knot, that spoke of a beautiful wedding here at the Hawthorne Hotel.

We thought you would like to see not only the review, but some photos of the wedding as well, so here they are:

From "The Knot" wedding website:

Wedding: 6/27/2014
I got married on Friday, June 27th, 2014, and my wedding reception was held at the Hawthorne. It was a WONDERFUL place to celebrate our marriage with our family and friends. The location of downtown Salem was great for our out-of-towners, the food was incredible, the catering manager I worked with was extremely helpful and was very detail-oriented in our meetings, and seemed to want to get to know us more with each visit.

We had a wedding coordinator for the day of the wedding that was so helpful for all five hours we were there, from when we first arrived, were introduced, throughout dinner and dancing, up until when we were leaving to retire to our wedding suite for the night. She assured us that all our gifts and things from the reception would be safe and secure, whether in our room or behind the front desk. It was a little on the pricey side, but worth every penny. And our catering manager never pushed us to add anything- she even helped us get into our budget by deducting an appetizer. I highly recommend the Hawthorne as a location for your wedding ceremony and/or reception.

I hope this is helpful to you.

Hi Natalia! Hi Lindsay! Hi Alaina!

We are still coming down from the high of our wedding.  It was truly magical and no small thanks to you guys. We didn't worry about a thing, which is downright amazing.

We received our officials photos and we wanted to share some with you.

Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the venue, the deliciousness of the food and the smoothness of all aspects of the wedding.  We could not have picked a more perfect wedding for us.

Thank you a million times! and more!
